This Norton’s tool uses aggressive techniques than a normal scan process. It can often happen that Power Eraser flags a certain program for removal. So, if you want to scan your computer and get rid of pesky malware follow these steps to use the Norton Power Eraser:

1. Start Norton
2. If you see the My Norton window, click Open, next to Device Security
3. In the Norton main window, double click on Security, and choose Scans
4. Scans window will show you Norton Power Eraser and click on it. 
5. Click Go
6. In the Norton Power Eraser window click OK
7. In the main window of the Power Eraser click Advanced Scans
8. Click System Scans
9. Review the results and follow on-screen instructions in order to fix any security risks detected.
